Opportunity to join growing family wine group in HR Business Partner role.

 

Joining a eight person collaborative and cohesive team, you will focus on the direct to consumer aspect of the business, supporting the tasting rooms, e-commerce and wine club HR needs of approximately 10 wineries and one distillery throughout California and beyond.    Organized and personable with a solid track record in human resources, you thrive in a hands on role, one that has you changing course as the need arises, embracing all that comes with working in a busy, growing and dynamic organization.   From employee relations to performance management to onboarding/offboarding and education and training, you will enjoy a tremendous amount of variety in this role.

**Depending on the candidate, this position will be based in Santa Rosa or Napa. There will be regular travel within Napa and Sonoma County, limited travel to the Central Coast and beyond.

You will:
•  Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough, and objective investigations when necessary.
•  Coach and develop management teams on employee related matters to achieve optimum employee performance.

•  Consult regularly with management and provide guidance when appropriate.
•  Analyze data trends and metrics and provide recommendations for business decisions.
•  Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
•  Provide support and guidance when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.

•  Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
•  Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
•  Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

You have:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
•  2 years+ human resource management experience; winery experience a plus!
•  SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
•  Experience with Ceridian/Dayforce and Success Factors a plus.
•  Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
•  Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

$85k - $100K + generous benefits
