Our client, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator to serve as the main point of contact while providing comprehensive administrative support to researchers and staff. This role is key to facilitating daily operations, coordinating events, and managing schedules, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows for a busy research environment. Key Responsibilities:

Act as a primary contact for operational and programmatic issues, applying professional standards and organizational policies.

Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, workshops, and events, managing budgets, travel arrangements, and logistics.

Oversee complex calendar management for senior staff, resolving scheduling conflicts and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Support workspace planning, property tracking, travel, and procurement; maintain desk guides and conduct regular training updates.

Assist with onboarding for new hires and provide support for exiting staff.

Collaborate on special projects, presentations, and reporting as needed.

Maintain high-quality document formatting, proofreading, and editing, and assist with proposal preparation.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree desired.

4 years of advanced admin experience, ideally in a research or large organizational setting.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat, with intermediate to advanced formatting skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
