Program Associate, Nonprofit – Hybrid- 3 days remote/2 days onsite

Well regarded nonprofit with a deep passion for social change, equity and effecting positive change in the world seeking a smart, resourceful and collaborative Program Associate.

Reporting to and in partnership with the Senior Program Director, you will provide program support by assisting with grantmaking strategy implementation, programmatic and community convenings organization, and various other team project oversight. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of new program initiatives that align with the strategic priorities of the organization.

Bilingual Spanish skills required.

You will:

  • Represent the organization and communicate the program’s strategy and grantmaking guidelines to a variety of stakeholders

  • Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare presentations and reports

  • Assess current research, policy changes, and trends in a range of areas of focus and in philanthropy by reviewing news and professional publications and by attending related conferences, meetings, and other events

  • Develop capacity building program offerings including cohort-based programs

  • Serve as an initial point of contact for organizations inquiring about funding opportunities

  • Conduct research to inform the due diligence process and grantmaking decisions

  • Attend convenings, site visits, and other external events

  • Develop and implement project plans and timelines for strategy development, learning, and evaluation activities

  • Draft and finalize materials, including grant summaries, memos, spreadsheets, presentations, and other documents in concert with senior program director

  • Lead planning and logistics for complex projects and multi-stakeholder meetings with the support of the senior program director and program coordinator

You have:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in non-profit work

  • B.S/B.A degree required in a related field

  • An ability to plan, prioritize, and anticipate workflows, manage competing timelines, and coordinate across team members and projects to meet deadlines

  • Initiative, a solution-oriented mindset and lean into asking questions

  • Experience with databases, preferably Salesforce

  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through

  • A sense of teamwork, community, humor, and integrity

  • Bilingual in Spanish

  • A strong passion for, and a commitment to, social change and equity and a deep commitment to Philanthropy and the nonprofit sector
