With considerable experience in both benefits and workers compensation, you also bring recruiting and leave of absence experience to the mix to this two person HR department.

Playing a key role in managing daily HR operations, you will ensure compliance with labor laws and foster a positive work environment. This versatile role requires a strong understanding of HR practices. Experience in the construction industry a plus.

You will:

  • Manage open enrollment process and benefits platform.

  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and address benefits-related inquiries.

  • Coordinate with benefits providers to ensure timely and accurate processing of benefits.

  • Assist in the investigation and documentation of workplace incidents.

  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.

  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.

  • Facilitate and provide guidance on employee relations issues.

  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

  • Create jobs ads and implement recruitment strategies to attract talent.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Continuously research opportunities to improve HR processes and practices.

  • Assist the VP of HR on administrative tasks and HR- related projects.

  • Contribute to committees promoting wellness and company communication.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 4+ years of HR experience, preferably in the construction or related industry.

  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

100% onsite position.  Generous benefits. Hire contingent upon passing background and drug test.
