Directly supervise production team members and material requirements specific to customer orders. Reviewing production orders; ensure capacity and capability are continually planned in order to meet agreed customer requirements while being cost effective and maintaining safe operations. Ensure customer satisfaction of quality with a 100% on-time delivery.
This position requires strong organization skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks. Requires excellent communication etiquette towards; production staff, customers, vendors, management, and executives in a cooperative, efficient, and positive manner. Must be comfortable
working around large cutting machines and adhere to safety policies that are site specific and within industry standards and have natural attention to detail. Must be physically fit to work in area specific environment and pass safety and drug testing as required by employer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Directly supervise production team consisting of 15 to 25 employees and material
requirements.
• Contribute to the strategic planning process of developing and implementing
operations strategy.
• Ensure all resources are available and staff members are trained to meet
customer demand.
• Drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure a smooth interface with supporting departments.
• Manage individual performance regularly reviewing achievement and taking
corrective action when necessary.
• Control ergonomics hazards; adapt work procedures, consider physical and
mental capabilities of staff.
• Identify opportunities for cross training and capacity training in order to enhance
capacity and responsiveness to customer requirements.
• Overall capacity planning, allocation of reserve capacity, identification of planned
shutdowns or down-time.
• Other duties as assigned.
