CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST

LOCATION: Greater Portland, OR

SALARY: $21.00 per hour

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-Time
  • Monday–Friday
  • Daytime business hours 8am to 5pm
  • Job Type: Temp to Hire


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer incoming customer calls, emails, and faxes in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide accurate information regarding services, pricing, and processes.
  • Research customer questions and follow through to resolution.
  • Set up new customer accounts and enter orders with a high level of accuracy.
  • Process order changes or cancellations in accordance with company policy.
  • Document customer interactions and actions in internal systems.
  • Identify when issues require escalation or additional follow-up.
  • Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings, cross-training, and improvement initiatives.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable using basic computer applications (Windows, Outlook).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The position performs general office duties in a professional, office-based environment.
  • Requires extended periods of sitting, frequent computer use, and regular telephone/headset use.
  • Frequent typing and data entry; occasional bending, reaching, and lifting of light materials up to 10 pounds.
