CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST

LOCATION: Greater Portland, OR
SALARY: $21.00 per hour
SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday
- Daytime business hours 8am to 5pm
- Job Type: Temp to Hire
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming customer calls, emails, and faxes in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide accurate information regarding services, pricing, and processes.
- Research customer questions and follow through to resolution.
- Set up new customer accounts and enter orders with a high level of accuracy.
- Process order changes or cancellations in accordance with company policy.
- Document customer interactions and actions in internal systems.
- Identify when issues require escalation or additional follow-up.
- Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, cross-training, and improvement initiatives.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable using basic computer applications (Windows, Outlook).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- The position performs general office duties in a professional, office-based environment.
- Requires extended periods of sitting, frequent computer use, and regular telephone/headset use.
- Frequent typing and data entry; occasional bending, reaching, and lifting of light materials up to 10 pounds.
