PROCESS OPERATOR

LOCATION Forest Grove, OR 

SALARY $25.22 per hour + $1.50 shift differential 

SCHEDULE Full-Time 12-hour shifts, 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM Rotating compressed schedule Night / Overnight shifts

Temporary-to-Hire 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Ensure strict compliance with safety policies and take corrective action when necessary 

• Collect, document, and deliver process samples to the lab 

• Monitor and record temperatures, pressures, and flow rates 

• Utilize process control computer interfaces to maintain target variables 

• Perform production quality control checks and report out-of-spec conditions 

• Communicate effectively during shift handovers regarding routine and non-routine issues 

• Assist with troubleshooting operational issues and support team members 

• Perform basic maintenance tasks and coordinate with outside vendors 

• Verify completed maintenance work 

• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company procedures 

• Communicate with engineers, maintenance technicians, and lab staff to schedule work 

• Participate in training sessions and emergency response activities 

• Maintain clean, hazard-free workstations 

• Follow all operating policies and procedures 

• Maintain awareness of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards 

• Take accountability for ongoing professional development 

• Perform other duties as assigned 


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

• High school diploma or GED

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment 

• Minimum of 1 year of forklift operation experience 

• Clean room environment experience 

• Valid driver’s license 

• Ability to read, speak, and write English fluently 

• Ability to pass a respirator fit test 

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and similar systems) 

• Experience with chemical handling and PPE compliance 

• Familiarity with quality systems and escalating OOS products 

• Understanding of manufacturing concepts such as bottlenecks, production planning, and time management 

• Mechanical aptitude and experience using standard production tools 

• Forklift, pallet jack, or warehouse equipment experience 

• Trailering experience preferred but not required 

• Strong motivation and work ethic (“go-getter” mindset) 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


This role works in a chemical manufacturing and clean room environment, and requires working indoor and in outdoor conditions. Requires wearing PPE, standing for extended periods, working 12-hour shifts, and the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed. Exposure to chemicals, machinery, and manufacturing conditions is expected.
