LOCATION: Vancouver, WA
SALARY: $18.00 per hour
SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 9:30am – 6:00pm - 6 month position, possibly longer

THE ROLE
As Specimen Accessioner, you will gain front line lab experience as you receive specimens from mail carriers and sort for processing. This role is ideally suited for those comfortable with high volume data entry and an interest in the gaining experience in the medical laboratory field! Background check and drug screen required upon acceptance of an offer.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurately entering patient demographic information, insurance, testing request, and other relevant details into laboratory information system
• Sorting and organizing samples for lab technologist analysis
• Review specimens to determine if they need to be processed or disposed
• Scan requisition forms and other necessary paperwork onto the network server
• Transport specimens to appropriate departments
SKILLS AND MUST-HAVES
• Experience performing high volume data entry is preferred
• Comfortable handling human specimens
• Experience working in a laboratory or medical setting preferred
• General computer knowledge with high proficiency in Outlook and Windows OS
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
