LOCATION: North Sacramento, CA SALARY: $18-$30.00/hr. (DOE)| Temporary to Hire
SCHEDULE: M-F | Multiple Shifts Available

THE ROLE
The candidate will be expected to trim, grind, drill, and sand composite parts to exact dimensions. They will also mix and apply suitable adhesives to bond parts.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute a range of tasks requiring knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Interpret and follow manufacturing orders.
- Operate shop-related machinery including ovens, pneumatic tools, hand tools, and scales.
- Manage, apply, store, and dispose of composite materials, adhesives, sealants, resins, and solvents.
- Review finished products for specification conformance.
- Receive instructions verbally and/or from engineering drawings, rough sketches, and manuals.
- Follow established quality management procedures.
- Rivet both solid and blind rivets, prepare, abrade, and bond composite and metal-to-composite assemblies.
- Install electronic components when required.
- Execute hand layout for trimming and drilling parts or assemblies.
- Achieve or surpass productivity and quality standards.
- High level candidates will train and mentor new employees in proper techniques with supervisory approval
- Fabricate prototype parts from sketches (if applicable).
SKILLS AND MUST- HAVES
- Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.
- Effective interaction skills with peers, supervisors, and when necessary, the public.
- Adherence to workplace rules.
- Possess and demonstrate varying degrees of math, documentation, computer skills, and material knowledge.
- Operate departmental equipment.
- Read, interpret, and follow processes and procedures.
- Use powered and non-powered tools for cutting, grinding, and drilling composite materials.
- Adherence to workplace rules and guidelines.
- Must Pass Drug and Background Check, with education verification with a minimum of high school diploma or GED.
