 Position Title: CNC Lathe Machinist

Wage: $20 - $30/hour depending on experience

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:30am to 3pm

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Lathe Machinist with experience in Mazatrol programming, live tooling, and multi-axis operations to join our client's team. This temp-to-hire position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced environment, producing high-precision components for the fastener, automotive, aerospace, and agriculture industries. Key Responsibilities:

-Programming & Setup:

o Program CNC lathes using Mazatrol conversational programming, interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

o Program from print, input instructions including zero and reference points, tool offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.

o Calculate machining requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry, and prove part programs to ensure accuracy and quality.

· Machine Setup & Operation:

o Independently set up and operate multi-axis CNC lathes, utilizing live tooling for complex machining operations.

o Install and adjust three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, and stops to ensure precise setups.

o Verify machine settings by measuring positions, running first-pass parts, and conducting sample workpiece checks.

· Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:

o Monitor and maintain quality control standards by measuring parts, conducting first-article inspections, and performing buddy checks.

o Ensure that all parts meet engineering specifications and industry standards.

o Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machining operations, tooling, or machine settings.

· Documentation & Record Keeping:

o Maintain accurate records of work performed, machine settings, and production data.

o Follow safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist, with hands-on expertise in Mazatrol programming and live tooling operations.

· Strong ability to program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC lathes.

· Proficient in reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of setup and machining operations.

· Knowledge of basic math, geometry, and trigonometry for calculating machining requirements.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot machining challenges.

· Familiarity with standard machining tools and equipment.

· Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety in the workplace.
