The Quality Technician helps ensure that all materials, components, and finished products meet company and engineering quality standards. This role involves inspecting parts, documenting results, and using a variety of tools—especially microscopes and precision measuring instruments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials and finished products using microscopes, calipers, micrometers, pin gages, height gages, and other measuring tools.

  • Check parts for defects and ensure they meet specifications.

  • Record inspection and test results clearly and accurately.

  • Reject or recommend rework for non-conforming products.

  • Maintain and organize inspection records and documents.

  • Monitor and calibrate inspection equipment.

  • Support the quality team in preparing for ISO audits and certifications.

  • Help update ISO procedures and perform internal audits.

  • Follow up on customer complaints and assist with corrective actions.

  • Supervise quality control staff and help train new team members.

  • Provide feedback to production and suppliers about part quality.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2+ years in a manufacturing quality role.

  • 2 years of experience preferred.

  • Strong experience using microscopes and measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gages.

  • Able to read technical drawings and part lists.

  • Familiar with ISO 9001 standards and quality systems.

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.

 

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
