The Quality Technician helps ensure that all materials, components, and finished products meet company and engineering quality standards. This role involves inspecting parts, documenting results, and using a variety of tools—especially microscopes and precision measuring instruments.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect incoming materials and finished products using microscopes, calipers, micrometers, pin gages, height gages, and other measuring tools.
Check parts for defects and ensure they meet specifications.
Record inspection and test results clearly and accurately.
Reject or recommend rework for non-conforming products.
Maintain and organize inspection records and documents.
Monitor and calibrate inspection equipment.
Support the quality team in preparing for ISO audits and certifications.
Help update ISO procedures and perform internal audits.
Follow up on customer complaints and assist with corrective actions.
Supervise quality control staff and help train new team members.
Provide feedback to production and suppliers about part quality.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years in a manufacturing quality role.
2 years of experience preferred.
Strong experience using microscopes and measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gages.
Able to read technical drawings and part lists.
Familiar with ISO 9001 standards and quality systems.
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
