Lab technician

We are seeking an entry-level Lab technician to join our team in a fast-paced bleach manufacturing plant. Your main responsibilities will be sample collection, analysis of samples, recording results, and communication of test results to plant operators.

Responsibilities:

• Sample collection and analysis of samples using various lab methods and instrumentation in a timely manner.

• Recording analysis results on paper and or electronic logs and spreadsheets

• Prompt communication of lab results to plant operators

• General lab housekeeping

• Willing to work overtime and adapt to flexible work schedules (shift work)

• Ability and willingness to learn the plant process to understand the impact of process chemistry/conditions on plant equipment and the bleach we produce.

• Other responsibilities may be added as necessary

Knowledge & Competency Requirements:

• General knowledge/familiarity with labs and lab equipment / instrumentation

• Good understanding of principles of analytical chemistry and related math

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Responsible attitude towards personal safety and the safety of those around you.

• Ability to prioritize work and ethic to perform under minimal supervision

• Good communication skills, interpersonal skills, and teamwork focus.

• Proficiency with computers and various software such as Microsoft Office, some Google apps, and instrumentation software

Experience:

Lab instrumentation, ICP, IC, GC: 2 years (Required)

Hours:

• Open availability needed - days/nights/weekends

• 7 - 7 shifts (day or overnights)

• Monday - Sunday

• 7 days a week, 365 days a year
