Behavioral Health Coordinator needed for one of our client's in the Ft. Pierce, FL area.
Key Responsibilities

Greets patients, visitors, vendors and directs them to the appropriate staff members.

Assist in keeping the office running efficiently by performing clerical duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, faxing, and providing quality customer service.

Ensures all patient information is captured into Phreesia and converted into Athena during the check-in process.

Obtains patient demographic and insurance information, verifies insurance eligibility in advance, and enters accurate information in the electronic health record.

Collect and process payment due for visit and complete daily reconciliation process.

Process patients Sliding Scale program application and enter all necessary information in the EMR.

Ensures waiting areas and reception areas are kept neat and clean.

Assists in the delivery of behavioral healthcare including direct supervision of clients as part of the therapeutic behavioral health team. Communicates with Behavioral Health Practitioner/Behavioral Health Supervisor regarding behavioral observations and provides appropriate clinical interventions for managing client’s conduct as guided.

Works with insurance plans and clinicians providing supporting documentation to obtain pre-authorization of medications and/or services in accordance with payer guidelines.

Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.

Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions.

Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization.

Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival.

Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.

Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.

Maintains professional behavior, and attitude towards patients, visitors, and coworkers.

Checks patients out and schedules follow up appointments as directed by the provider.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

May occasionally need to travel from one clinic to another for coverage.
Education & Training
-
1 year experience medical front office or behavioral health setting (Preferred)
-
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
-
One to three years of progressive work experience in a medical office setting.
Requirements
-
Level 2 background clearance required.
-
Proof of immunizations for MMR, HEP B vaccination, and either a history of chicken pox (varicella), or documentation of the varicella vaccine, and a PPD Test at time of hire.
Schedule:
Must be capable of working Monday through Friday between 7:30am - 6:00pm
