The Manager PLM Applications is responsible for the planning, design, development, implementation and operation of the PLM application in support of the strategic, long-term, and operational goals associated with the client’s business technology direction. This position will have a strong relationship and interface to Application Development and Infrastructure to design solutions and provide scalable and reliable information systems to the organization. The position will lead technical resources, which will contribute to the accountability of design, build, QA/Test, deploy and maintenance of the PLM system. In addition, this individual will be responsible for working the PLM solution for integration with other software applications and platforms used by the client. The Manager PLM Applications will maintain technology solutions and services in support of the corporate objectives. The individual should possess the drive towards standardization and consolidation of business systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Define and own PLM software implementation and development lifecycle

Plan and develop the PLM component of the enterprise technology roadmaps, best practices and methodologies.

Define PLM application solution lifecycle management including release management, upgrade strategy, testing strategy and retirement plan in order for the PLM Software

Support and coordinate the technical development team for the implementation of the PLM system.

Work with Business users to understand business problems and develop technical solutions.

Interact with the customer to support the management of customer expectations and support customer adoption.

Analyze and translate business requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions that integrate across applications, systems, and platforms to achieve business objectives

Review project status with management, finalize details, and establish timeframe requirements.

Review projects for quality and customer satisfaction level upon completion.

Research technical innovations and assist in planning for the future direction of the Company.

Set and lead expectations, demonstrating thought leadership to optimally influence and recommend solutions

Adhere to departmental standards, processes, guidelines, and methodologies for all assigned tasks.

Perform other related duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Senior level management skills are required to successfully perform the strategy development, tactical planning, directing, reporting and administrative responsibilities of this position.

Multiple years designing and/or implementing PLM systems is preferred

Minimum of 3 -5 years technical experience as a Solution Architect is preferred

Experience in the technical leadership of large software implementation projects is preferred

Data Migration between PLM system is preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present sophisticated issues to multi-level audiences and optimally communicate progress, status, and issues to internal and external Customers

Shown team leadership skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires a Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, and seven years in computer system design and application development with manager or project leader background, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced Degree may be substituted for shown experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of computer application development tools, programming languages, personal computer, BaaN ERP, INFOR LN, PLM software, elements such as manufacturing, inventory control, distribution and finance systems. Skills in system design and development, and project management skills are required to perform the duties of this position.
Up to $15,000 in relocation expenses covered for the right employee.
