We are seeking a dedicated and organized Automotive Department Assistant to support daily operations within our automotive department. This role involves assisting the team with inventory management, coordinating repair and maintenance tasks, and ensuring efficient workflow throughout the department. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive support or a related field, a strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to helping maintain a safe and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Support Automotive Operations: Assist technicians with vehicle preparation, basic maintenance, and part handling, ensuring all items and tools are readily available for scheduled work.

Inventory Management: Track, organize, and maintain stock of automotive parts, tools, and supplies, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely availability of parts.

Customer Assistance: Provide information and support to customers as needed, maintaining high-quality service and professionalism.

Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate records of inventory, parts usage, and maintenance schedules; assist with tracking completed and pending work orders.

Department Organization: Ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards, assisting with routine cleaning and basic equipment maintenance as required.

Support Repair and Maintenance: Help with basic vehicle maintenance tasks, under supervision, such as oil checks, tire rotations, and minor repairs.
Qualifications:

Experience: 1+ years of experience in automotive support, customer service, inventory management, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Skills: Basic knowledge of automotive parts and tools; strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with inventory software is a plus.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions as needed.

Other: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
