Construction Controller

Duties

• Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations

• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and budgets

• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making

• Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of transactions

• Perform account analysis and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data

• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee treasury functions

• Coordinate the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors

• Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred

• MUST have been a Controller at a Construction company.

• HIGH Priority if you've worked at a pool construction company.

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a corporate setting

• Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles, including IFRS and double-entry bookkeeping

• Proficiency in budgeting, general ledger accounting, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation

• Solid understanding of financial concepts such as debits, credits, and financial statements

• Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software systems

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

• Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $140,000.00 per year
