You will be the direct contact for drivers, brokers, and customers. The position will report directly to the Director of Operations.
Must be highly organized and be able to multi-task with prioritization. Applicants should be familiar with commercial driving regulations and have above-average knowledge of Dry Van trucking operations. This is a challenging but rewarding position, applicants should be motivated to succeed.
Job duties include:
Matching loads with trucks in an efficient, compliant, and profitable manner
Scheduling pick-up and delivery times
Tracking loads and documenting the progress of loads to completion
Providing information needed for billing/invoicing purposes.
Communicating with customers to obtain load assignments
Fulfilling customers’ needs with high-quality service and integrity.
Assisting drivers with understanding and troubleshooting the dispatch system
Coaching drivers on proper logging within the ELD system
Provide accurate internal reporting on load progress and assignment
Attend weekly team meetings
Majority of duties are performed through internet control boards and telephone.
Qualifications:

  • Understanding of FMCSA HOS regulations

  • Basic understanding of the equipment used in a truckload operation

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be able to maintain emotional composure when faced with hostile customers and drivers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • Previous experience dispatching or managing drivers.

  • The ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Spanish speaking is a plus but not required
