Welder/Fabricator

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for a long-term role with a shop located in SE Portland. The person in this position will primarily weld and fabricate industrial machinery framing using MIG welding processes.

PAY: $25-$30/hr

Welder/Fabricator Responsibilities:

• Weld with fluxcore and hardwire MIG on carbon steel and mild steel.

• Some TIG welding on stainless steel.

• Set-up and keep alignment of equipment.

• Read blueprints and fabricate utilizing relevant shop equipment.

• Assist mechanics with assembly as needed.

Welder/Fabricator Qualifications:

• 5+ years of MIG welding experience.

• 5+ years of experience fabricating from prints.

• Must be proficient in welding symbols.

• Willingness to assist mechanics with assembly processes as required.

• Ability to work day shift (MON-FRI, 7AM-3:30PM)

• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (THC friendly).
