Industrial Mechanic / Millwright

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for a skilled and experienced Millwright for a building materials client located in Tacoma, Washington.

You must be open to a flexible schedule and able to work weekends!

Millwright Position:

• Previous experience in a paper or wood mill greatly preferred

• Electrical, Hydraulic, Steam and Boiler Systems

• Plumbing

• Mechanical systems trouble shooting

• Repairing, Modifying, installing and PMs

• Welding

• Working knowledge of the machinery in an industrial environment and the associated safety -- lock out / tag out issues involved with Millwright work.

• Perform general electrical and troubleshooting of instrumentation job tasks as needed.

Millwright Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

• Excellent working knowledge of safety in the plant and associated safety issues involved with Millwright work.

• Ability to perform job planning tasks for scheduled machine shutdowns.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, ability to perform repetitive motion tasks with the upper extremities.

• Ability to work in confined areas and high places.

Millwright Benefits:
