Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Maintenance Technician role for a client located in Wilsonville, who specializes in energy storage.

 

PAY: $23 to $35 per hour to start / depending on experience

 

SCHEDULE:

  • Graveyard Shift

  • 6pm to 6am alternating 3 and 4 day weeks (Fri-Sun and Thurs-Sun).

  • Training will be during the day shifts: 7:00am to 3:30pm

 

Looking for a motivated, hard-working Maintenance Technician! This person is responsible for keeping up machines and automation equipment in the battery production line. The ideal candidate is adaptable and can help develop the culture, the rigor and the challenges required of a start-up environment.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems.

  • Use engineering principles to adjust and calibrate equipment, including plastic welding equipment, and vision inspection equipment. Follow continual improvement processes to achieve yield and quality goals with equipment.

  • Train operators on equipment-related procedures.

  • Track yields from machinery and diagnose yield issues.

  • Quickly troubleshoot automated PLC-based machinery from error messages, status lights, on/off signals, and inspection results.

  • Respond quickly and efficiently to problems on the production line.

  • Safely swap out electronics, hydraulic components, pneumatic components.

  • Follow LOTO procedures to isolate energy before performing work.

  • Design and build jigs and fixturing to improve processes and improve worker ergonomics.

  • Validate equipment and new processes after repair or adjustment.

  • Safely diagnose electrical issues with a multimeter.

  • Work with process engineers to develop and document safe operating procedures.

  • Used to working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and prioritizes production output. Able to respond quickly to out-of-control equipment states.

  • Comfortable working with a diverse team and working independently.

  • Used to working efficiently but to a high standard of work. Able to perform quality checks on all work.

  • Ability to learn on the job, and research or use instruction manuals when necessary.

  • Detail oriented, and good at logging changes made and results. Perform all work to high quality standards.

  • A self-starter, good at taking initiative to learn new things without instruction.

  • Used to working in a flexible environment. Experience changing plans quickly based on production needs and prioritizing many tasks.

  • Experience working safely among hazards in a manufacturing environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years working in industrial manufacturing, maintenance and repair, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC logic-based systems.

  • Technical degree in automation, electronics, mechanic certification or similar.

  • Electrical troubleshooting experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience with MS Office and CAD.

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.

  • Ability to follow job required Standards and Safety Protocols, per pre-defined processes.

  • Must be able to wear Personal Protection Equipment according to OSHA rules and regulations.

  • 3+ year’s experience performing preventative maintenance.

  • Proven track record problem solving issues in a production environment.

  • Experience owning results from manufacturing equipment.

  • Ability to work on Graveyard Shift schedule (6pm-6am).

  • High School Diploma or GED.
