Overview:

As a Tool and Die Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of tooling and dies used in manufacturing processes.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail to support the production of high-quality parts and components.
RESPONSIBILITES:

Tool and Die Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of tooling and dies to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

Inspection and Testing: Conduct regular inspections and testing of tools and dies to identify issues, measure wear and tear, and ensure they meet quality standards.

Repair and Modification: Execute repairs and modifications on tooling and dies to restore functionality and optimize performance. This may involve welding, grinding, or machining components

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications performed on tooling and dies.

Collaboration: Coordinate with production teams and engineering to understand tooling requirements, resolve issues, and implement improvements.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and machinery. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement related to tooling and die maintenance to enhance efficiency and quality.
Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise: Proficient in the maintenance and repair of tooling and dies. Experience with CNC machines, milling, lathe work, and other machining processes is beneficial.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose issues, propose effective solutions, and implement repairs in a timely manner.

Attention to Detail: Precision and accuracy in conducting inspections, measurements, and repairs on tooling and dies.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in tool and die making or related fields is preferred.

Proven experience in tool and die maintenance within a manufacturing setting.

Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and reading engineering drawings is advantageous.
