Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all machinery and equipment used in our food production processes. Your primary objective will be to minimize downtime and maintain a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

 

Wage: $22.00-$28.00/hour

 

 

Swing shift: 2PM start time

Day shift: 5AM start time

 

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all machinery and equipment used in the food production process.

  • Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, electrical issues, and mechanical failures, and take appropriate corrective actions.

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.

  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems in a timely manner to minimize production disruptions.

  • Calibrate and adjust machinery settings to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with quality standards.

  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities, coordinating with production downtime to minimize disruption to operations.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance performed.

 

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or relevant vocational training in maintenance, electrical or mechanical engineering is highly preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems used in food processing equipment.

  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions, electrical issues, and mechanical failures.

  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation systems, and industrial control panels.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy equipment.

  • Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requests outside regular working hours.
