Millwright

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Millwright position with a Conveyor Belt company located in Portland, OR. The person in this position should be comfortable working with and around heavy industrial conveyor systems.

Schedule: Field work. Travel. Predominately M-F days. Overtime.

Pay: $30-40/hr

Millwright Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems, gears, reducers, bearings, sprockets, chains, belts and valves

• Troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment such as cranes, rigging, and other mobile equipment.

• Cut, weld and fabricate components as needed

• Work on and with heavy conveyor systems

• Apply preventive maintenance practices to enhance operational effectiveness

• Assist equipment operators as necessary and improve operator efficiency

• Demonstrate best practices for safe operation of the facility and contribute to safety improvement efforts

Millwright Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience as a working millwright or maintenance mechanic

• Conveyor belt maintenance

• Willing and able to work prescribed shift and overtime as needed; including traveling and field work

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds infrequently

• Willing and able to pass pre-employment drug screen
