We are seeking a skilled and experienced Garage Door/Overhead Door Installer to join our team. As a Garage Door/Overhead Door Installer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of garage doors and overhead doors for residential and commercial clients. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our clients' properties.

Wage: $24.00 - $30.00 DOE

 

Overhead Door Installer/Technician Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain a variety of garage doors and overhead doors according to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.

  • Evaluate job requirements and plan installations, taking into consideration factors such as door type, size, materials, and client preferences.

  • Safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery necessary for installation and repair work, including drills, saws, levels, and door opener systems.

  • Ensure proper alignment, balance, and functionality of doors, tracks, springs, rollers, cables, and other components during installations or repairs.

  • Test installed doors and conduct necessary adjustments to ensure smooth operation, correct any defects, and maintain customer satisfaction.

  • Complete all required paperwork, such as work orders, service reports, and inventory records, accurately and in a timely manner.

 

Overhead Door Installer/Technician Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Garage Door/Overhead Door Installer or a related field is required.

  • Strong knowledge of various garage door and overhead door types, materials, and installation techniques.

  • Familiarity with door opener systems, spring mechanisms, tracks, cables, and other door components.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues during installations or repairs.

  • Proficient in using tools, equipment, and machinery relevant to the trade.

  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
