Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a graveyard Manufacturing Engineering Technician for a direct hire role with a manufacturing company located in Hillsboro, OR. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician provides troubleshooting and technical direction in the manufacturing processes based on established business strategies to ensure continual improvement, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policy. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician uses their technical knowledge to conduct testing, inspections, and modifications of production equipment to keep output high without compromising safety and quality.



  • Perform testing and troubleshooting on product or system failures by utilizing production and engineering documentation to minimize manufacturing downtime

  • Investigate, analyze, document and recommend improvements on root-cause production process and efficiency problems

  • Conduct engineering tests and evaluations to collect data or assist in research work

  • Analyze machine performance using historical data to make suggestions for improving product quality

  • Assist Equipment Technicians in qualifying part quality after machine adjustments and in addressing machine issues

  • Develop documentation for work instructions, standards, and assembly drawings

  • Assist upper-level Technicians in conducting true cause analysis on a variety of issues



  • Associate's degree or equivalent applicable education and work experience is required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred

  • Proficient PC skills are required, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite; basic knowledge of PLC and CAD systems is preferred

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel

  • Utilize critical thinking to propose creative solutions to complex problems

  • Ability to stand throughout shift and regularly lift up to 50lbs.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check



  • $20.14/hr+$1.50/hr differential for graveyard shift

  • $500 retention bonus ($200 after 30 days, $300 after 90 days)
