Responsibilities
• Operate manual OD and ID grinders to meet precise tolerances
• Read and use OD/ID micrometers accurately
• Dial in machines with indicators within a few thousandths
• Grind and handle parts up to 10–12 feet in length
• Follow customer specifications for precision grinding
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Requirements
• Ability to read English for travelers and part drawings
• Minimum 1 year of experience on manual grinders (no CNC)
• Skilled in using OD/ID micrometers and precision indicators
• Ability to operate jib or overhead cranes
• High school diploma or GED required for trainee-level candidates
• Trainees must complete 4 weeks of in-house training before working independently
• Trainees may purchase required hand tools through payroll deductions
