Work Environment
Join a reputable industrial organization in the heart of Houston, TX (77087). This facility operates across multiple sites and offers a structured Monday–Friday schedule in a hands-on environment focused on compliance, safety, and operational excellence.
Job Highlights
Pay: $20–$22/hour (Based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Houston, TX 77087

Responsibilities
Daily Duties:
Conduct facility walkthroughs to enforce PPE use and safety standards
Monitor wastewater systems, storm drains, emission point pressures
Address environmental issues like leaks and spills
Operate wastewater dryer and manage tank levels
Support lab operations, deliveries, and chemical documentation
Weekly Duties:
Inspect eyewash stations and spill kits
Maintain wastewater system and clean filter press
Perform lab chemical analysis (e.g., chrome, nickel)
Support satellite locations as needed
Monthly Duties:
Inspect fire extinguishers and update emergency plans
Track amp hours and update environmental documentation
Conduct ISO 14001:2015 training sessions
Quarterly/Semi-Annual Duties:
Lead hazardous waste inspections and water sampling
Coordinate stormwater and RCRA compliance checks
Assist with ISO and internal environmental audits
Annual Duties:
Schedule fire system, crane, and boiler inspections
Manage regulatory reporting (STEERS, city renewals)
Lead ISO 14001:2015 certification audits
Additional Responsibilities:
Serve as Emergency Coordinator and EMS Representative
Maintain hazardous waste profiles and compliance labels
Train staff on emergency and hazardous material protocols
Conduct root cause investigations and corrective actions
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (technical/HSE training preferred)
Minimum 2 years of industrial/manufacturing HSE experience
Familiarity with ISO 14001:2015, RCRA, DOT, and TCEQ regulations
Must pass respirator fit test and wear PPE
Able to lift 50 lbs and work in confined/high-risk spaces
Strong communication and documentation skills
Detail-focused with high accountability standards
