Position: Cook
Position Summary:
The Cook is responsible for supporting daily food service operations, including preparing patient meal trays, delivering meals to patient rooms, and maintaining a clean and organized cafeteria environment. This role ensures high-quality service, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Meal Preparation:
Prepare and assemble meal trays according to patient dietary requirements and facility guidelines.
Ensure food portions and presentation meet quality and safety standards.
Meal Delivery:
Deliver prepared trays to patients in their rooms in a timely and courteous manner.
Provide excellent customer service while interacting with patients and staff.
Cafeteria & Kitchen Cleanliness:
Clean and sanitize cafeteria tables, service areas, and preparation surfaces.
Sweep and maintain floors to ensure a safe and tidy environment.
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation procedures.
Organize and put away supplies, ingredients, and equipment after use.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or healthcare setting preferred.
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
