The Receiving/Shipper Coordinator is responsible for the quality, food safety and esthetics of the product. The RC Coordinator will follow through on set processes and ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and product quality standards.
This position will work with the warehouse team to help with cycle counts, gathering of all materials for the production team and ensuring the overall success of the department.
- Checks according to the specifications upheld by the clients policies and procedures
- Take product samples as needed to meet analytical requirements.
- Daily Quality Control checks and documentation on all inbound materials: Checks on weight, pack, size, identification, count, palletizing, and overall quality.
- Daily cycle counts and ensuring FIFO is being followed along with lot traceability.
- Perform safety audits/checks as assigned by management. Initiating corrective actions FIFO or lot traceability is not being followed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish

- Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing data, problem identification and resolution and ability to generate clear/concise reports indicating key issues to management/ department heads
- Aptitude in problem solving
- Ability to work independently
Qualifications
- 1-year prior experience in quality assurance, preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in using mobile devices (tablet) for input of data
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- 2+ years operating forklift or pallet jacks
- OSHA Certified or willingness to be trained and certified by client on forklift and pallet jacks.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Must be able to work in a wet environment and with temperatures as low as 38 degrees.
- Ability to lift to 25lbs regularly, 40lbs frequently, and 50lbs occasionally
- Physical Demands include constant standing and frequent walking throughout entire work shift. Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on work surface.
- Constant reaching above and below shoulder height, twisting, applying pressure, grasping (including fingers, thumb and palm) items and loading machinery in a repetitive motion.
- Lifting. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This occurs constantly throughout the shift requiring substantial use of the upper arms, shoulders and back muscles.
- Constant throughout entire 8-hour shift, fingering, fine manipulation, picking and grasping primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm.
- Repetitive hand movement includes simple and power grasping, and pushing and pulling items.
- Pulling. Using upper arms and shoulders to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
- Ability to maintain productivity requirements in a fast-paced facility
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.
- Ability to remember and communicate routine, factual information.
- Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology
- Ability to apply common sense and make decisions which have a moderate impact on the immediate work unit
