Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, Occasional Weekends, 7am – 5pm but must be flexible with hours and days 

Rate of Pay:

$15 - $20/hr Depending on Experience




The Commercial Plumber will be responsible for installing new and replacement plumbing systems and providing excellent customer service to commercial plumbing customers. The plumber will be expected to work on a variety of projects and tasks related to the Plumbing trade.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Must have completed all state-required classes and apprentice work and possess a journeyman’s card.

  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) in commercial and residential structures.

  • Assisting with the installation of pipe and fittings for copper, cast iron, and PVC/CPVC pipes, and for drain, sewer, and gas lines.

  • Installing fittings and components above and in the ground.

  • Testing pipes by filling them with water or air and reading gauges to determine whether the system is working accurately.

  • Interprets blueprints and building specifications to map layouts for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.

    • Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction.

    • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques.

    • Completes light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required.

    • Adhere to all plumbing building codes and regulations.

    • Follows health and safety standards and complies with building codes.

    • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a current Journeyman or Master Plumbing License

  • Minimum 2+ years as a Journeyman or Master Plumber

  • Must have own transportation and valid Driver's License

  • Should have their basic tools such as Pipe wrenches, Adjustable wrenches, Solvent cement and primer, Pipe cutter, Pliers, PTFE tape, Plumber's putty, Hacksaw, and Basin wrench. 

  • Must be able to pass background check 

  • Must be able to pass drug screening

  • Knowledge of local building plumbing codes and regulations.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing challenges accordingly.

  • Communication and intrapersonal skills, including customer service.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Familiarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.

  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of manual tools such as hammers, wrenches, sockets, drills, tape measures, levels

  • Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator for percentages, division, multiplication

  • Ability to understand and carry out work orders

  • Able to lift 50 – 80 lbs.

  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and environmental conditions, position is generally outdoors

  • Steel-toed shoes, a hard hat, and a vest are required

  • The ability to communicate in English is required

  • Must be flexible with schedule.  Work hours and workdays may vary depending on the needs of the business and the deadlines to finish the project. 


Working Environment

Must be able to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to harsh smells, loud noise, and all types of temperatures.  Are often exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Are sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors. Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.  

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, handle, reach outward, reach above shoulder, crawl, squat/Kneel, bend, push, and pull frequently. Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on a work surface.

  • Ability to use upper and lower extremities to move or transport 25 to 80 pounds, including pressing against something to force it in a forward, downward, or outward position or drag, haul 25 to 80 pounds

  • Ability to bend the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist, bending legs at the knees, and moving extremities in any direction

  • Ability to withstand physical demands on the body, including being in a stationary and/or standing position most of the day

  • Ability to express and exchange ideas using the spoken word, including where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly

  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information
