Monday - Friday/ 8am to 5pm

Pay Rate:

$16.00


 

Purpose:

The Production Lead is responsible for establishing a safe work environment and ensuring delivery of quality products as outline in the production schedule.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Setup and startup of production lines each day

  • Initiates plans to motivate workers to achieve goals

  • Willing to jump in and help the team members that they supervise

  • Effectively communicate with production employees the specific tasks and goals for the day

  • Train and monitor production line workers and track their efficiencies

  • Coordinate with receiving department to ensure that raw product is available at the front of line when needed

  • Responsible for the daily production documentation

  • All other tasked assigned by management.


Essential Physical Demands:

Frequently stands, lifts, walks, reaches, stoops, bends over, handles product, smells, listens, speaks and sees to perform the essential job duties.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and/or experience:

  • High School Diploma, (GED) or 2 years’ lead experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of production environment and troubleshoot problems effectively.

  • Bilingual – Spanish required


Working Conditions

  • Report to work at assigned time.

  • Flexibility in work hours and days is crucial.

  • The temperatures range from 30 to 110 degrees in rooms.

  • There is exposure to equipment and machinery that are considered to be hazardous.

  • Potential electrical, mechanical, chemical, and heat hazards are also present.

  • The level of noise is high and constant.

  • Floors are damp and slick.


Personal Protective Equipment

  • Hard hats, ear plugs or muffs, frocks, non-porous steel toed boots, hair nets, must be worn at all times within the plant.

  • Frocks are to remain in productions areas unless they are to be replaced when soiled.

  • Latex gloves must be worn when handling product or contacting sanitary surfaces
