Job Summary

Pallet Jack Operators will be responsible for moving, loading, and unloading materials from trucks to and from the production floor and finished goods to the back dock. Must be experienced with Electric and Manual Pallet Jacks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Moves hazardous materials.
  • Maintains clean work area.
  • Pallet building and pallet picks.
  • Loads goods onto conveyer belts.
  • Stacks crates, pallets, lumber, or other material.
  • Ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods.
  • Follows safety regulations and company guidelines.
  • Checks that loads are centered and properly stacked.
  • Determines when repairs need to be made on equipment.
  • Rotates stock so that oldest items are shipped or sold first.
  • Loads and unloads product from and onto tractor trailers, rail cars, and cargo ships.
  • Quality assurance (QA) duties, including reporting product damage and shortages.
  • Utilizes radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment to track inventory.
  • Shrink wraps goods or otherwise secures them and prepares them for transport.
  • Weighs and records weights of products.
  • Analyzes productions schedules to determine timely transportation of materials and products.
  • Documents arrival, departure, and movement and storage of goods, checks trucking manifests and bills of lading, maintains inventory, and tracks fulfillment of customer and vendor orders.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Flexible around working days and hours, including weekends and occasional nights.
      • AM Shifts: 6:00AM – 3:00PM (must be flexible with end time)
      • PM Shifts: 4:00PM – up to 2:00AM (must be flexible with end time)
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment: 30 – 40 degree warehouse
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Follow directions and able to adapt to change


Working Environment

Work in a cold warehouse. Are often exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Are sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures when working outdoors. Are sometimes exposed to contaminants. Operating hand tools, machinery, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.


Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, handling, reach outward, reach above shoulder, crawl, squat/Kneel, bend, push and pull frequently. Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on work surface.
  • Ability to use upper and lower extremities to move or transport 25 to 50 pounds, including pressing against something to force it in a forward, downward or outward position or drag, haul 25 to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend the body downward and forward by bending spine at waist, and bending legs at knees and moving extremities in any direction
  • Ability to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, including where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly
  • Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Background screenings is required
  • Drug Screening is required
