Labor on Demand is seeking On-site Supervisors to assist one of our clients with the staff we provide. On any given day we provide anywhere from 25 to 80 workers. To better assist our clients we have an on-site team that helps supervise. This is an entry-level HR/ Administrative/ Supervisory Role.

Summary

Coordinates all activities related to the Event/Post Event Work; this includes employee compliance with company priorities such as safety guidelines and event policies. In addition, ensuring all employees are accounted for, clocked in and out at the appropriate times, daily reports created for any associate concerns that may occur as well as performance and attendance reports and strong communication with the facilities' supervisors and staff. Supervisor will be expected to work alongside staff to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.  


Schedule

Monday – Friday (some weekends) This is Event Based. 

  • Must be flexible with work days. 
  • Must be flexible with shift hours.  Shifts between 8pm to 6am 

 

Responsibilities

  • Clock Employee In/ Out to record their shift hours
  • Pin-Point employee during shift
  • Provide a brief orientation for those employees highlighting key event policies.
  • Liaison between Client Management, Account Manager and Client Success Team (recruiters)
  • Defuse and Manager onsite issues with Employees
  • Ensure employee are completing tasks that they are assigned to
  • Produce daily reports per shift and share with Account Manager and Client Success Team
  • Assist in areas in the event venue to ensure that employee cause a smooth flow of service
  • Repeat employee to return the following day
  • Assign repeat employee on daily orders

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience in teaching/training others
  • Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong and effective communication skills verbal and written.
  • Confident reporting to management (line performance, line status/issues, personnel problems, etc.)
  • Sense of urgency.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish
  • Prior experience in a Lead / Supervisor / Management role - Preferred

Working Environment

Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Use of personal computer equipment, and telephone. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events. Often exposed to sound and noise levels that are distracting.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, handling, reach outward, reach above shoulder, crawl, squat/Kneel, bend, push and pull frequently. Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on work surface.

• Ability to bend the body downward and forward by bending spine at waist, and bending legs at knees and moving extremities in any direction

• Ability to withstand physical demands on the body, including being in a stationary and/or standing position most of the day

• Ability to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, including where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly

• Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information
