Labor On Demand has immediate opening for Event Conversion Staff

Job Summary

Event Conversion Staff are responsible for assisting client with preparing venue for event and then assisting with converting the venue back or prepare it for the next event.

Essential Functions:

• Setting up tables, chairs, stands or bleachers

• Assisting with staging, changing of floors to accommodate various events such as turf or ice rinks, dance, band.

• Assist with minor clean up if field levels if custodial crew has not completed clean up.

• Maintain professionalism with client and all other outside agencies assisting with various functions of setting up or tearing down of an event.

Minimum Qualification

• Flexible around working days and hours, including weekends and occasional nights.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent attention to detail

• Follow directions and able to adapt to change

Physical and Mental Requirements

• This job involves heavy lifting and long periods of standing and walking long distances

• Frequent climbing and descending of steps to access stadium / event seating

• Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

• Stooping, grasping, going up bleachers/stands over long periods of time

• Ability to maintain productivity requirements in a fast-paced facility

• Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.

• Ability to remember and communicate routine, factual information.

• Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology

• Ability to apply common sense and make decisions which have a moderate impact on the immediate work unit

• Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.

• Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately, loudly, and quickly

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Background screenings is required

Work Environment

Work areas are typical of a stadium/arena/event facility, which includes working with and around bleachers, floors and chairs. Must be careful around large machinery that bring in staging, lighting and other equipment. Must be aware of other staff working above them with the staging and lighting. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above ambient noise level.
