Job Summary

Kitchen Services Housekeeper are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the catering service offices, kitchen, employee bathrooms and breakrooms.

.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensuring client and catering services offices are clean, vacuumed, and trash taken out each day.

  • Maintaining all areas of the kitchen and catering areas are clean of trash and waste.

  • Ensuring all employee bathrooms are clean and sanitized.

  • Ensuring employee breakroom is kept clean, swept and mopped and trash taken out throughout the day.

  • Dispose of all waste in line with recycling policy

 

Minimum Qualification

  • Flexible around working days and hours, including weekends and occasional nights.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Knowledge of basic cleaning products

  • Follow directions and able to adapt to change


Physical and Mental Requirements

 

  • This job involves long periods of standing and walking long distances

  • Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals / solutions

  • Ability to maintain productivity requirements in a fast-paced facility

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.

  • Ability to remember and communicate routine, factual information.

  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology

  • Ability to apply common sense and make decisions which have a moderate impact on the immediate work unit

  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.

  • Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately, loudly, and quickly

 

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Background screenings is required

 

Work Environment

 Work areas are typical of a commercial kitchen which includes working around floors that may be damp and slick due to spills, and other hazards. Worker is exposed to noise from food prep and cleaning equipment. Exposure to cleaning solvents. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout to be heard above ambient noise level.
