Traffic Coordinator opening for logistics/transportation employer in north Wichita. Traffic exp not required. Good admin and DE skills needed. Background in industrial or logistics environment a plus.
A Traffic Coordinator primary goal is to ensure that the truck traffic flows smoothly throughout a facility, which will help in the direction of the daily work flow. It is company's expectation that a Traffic Coordinator will help initiate action to prevent the occurrences of any non-conformities (problems) relating to product, process, and quality system. Help in identifying and recording any problems relating to product, process, and quality system and it is asked of the Traffic Coordinator to initiate recommendations and/or provide solutions through designated channels to ensure that company is meeting Customers expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedule inbound and outbound loads with Carriers
Maintain required documentation to ensure accurate, BOL’s, Receipts and other Customer expectations
Assist in completing all stage of services within the WMS.
Maintain databases (WMS, Excel, etc. ) of daily activity
Communicating needs and expectations with Customers and the United Team
Customer Relations – Driver’s, CSR’s and the warehouse Team will be the primary Customers and external Customers based on need
Ensuring that Driver receive accurate paperwork and provide United required paperwork
Ensure that loads are or get the proper seals or placards
Help in resolving inventory problems
Answer telephone
File paperwork
Housekeeping
Overtime & weekends required to meet our customer expectations

REQUIREMENTS:
High School degree
Typing and 10 key
Experience using computers
Customer interface experience
Word processing, database, and spread sheet knowledge
$12/hr
Temp-to-hire
8-4:30pm M-F with flexibility needed for some overtime and Saturdays.
