Cold Storage Sanitation Worker--Fort Lauderdale

Location: Fort Lauderdale

Pay Rate: $12.00

Working Shift : Overnights 11:30pm to 8am Monday through Friday (some Saturdays)

Qualifications:

• 1-year warehouse related experience and/or training

• Must be able to work in Cold Storage environment

• Must work independently with minimal supervision and have strong attention to details

• Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

• Read and write simple correspondence

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash and sanitize meat, seafood and poultry processing areas.

• Maintain cleanliness of work space by performing the following duties

• Prep Processing room for washing

• Power down machines using appropriate procedures

• Break down equipment for cleaning

• Remove cardboard, trash bags, inedible from processing rooms

• Use high and low pressure water wash systems with water temperature between 120-140F

• Use proper detergent and sanitizing chemicals following MSDS procedures

• Ability to read labels for chemical identification
