Job Summary:
The Cosmetic Chemical Compounder is responsible for creating product batches by following established formulas and recipes, while adhering to cGMP and Safety requirements to ensure manufacturing of products are consistent with established procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Covers and puts away chemicals used for the day.
-
Transports materials necessary from storage area to production.
-
Accountable for cleaning the work area and maintaining equipment cleaning.

Ensuring that the products manufactured are of the highest standards and meets all the criteria prior to release to inventory so that they are in accordance with company specification and procedures.

Ensure compliance of GMP’s and company policy and procedures for cosmetic manufacturing.
-
Assure batch records are maintained according to company requirements and SOP’s.

Engage in process development and resolve production problems and errors.
-
Keep the compounding area clean thus operating in a clean environment.

Maintain an adequate supply of chemical raw materials in work area and notify Compounding Senior Manager or warehouse of any shortages.

Be able to have a good working knowledge of math, weights and measurements so that recipes are correctly followed.

Communicate with Compounding Senior Manager on production issues.

Need to work to tight deadlines and be able to drive production.

Clean and sanitize the mixing machines, compounding equipment (buckets, drums etc.), chemical area, and compounding area.

If chemicals are running low, communicate with Compounding Senior Manager so it can be ordered.

Attend monthly production/quality/R&D and maintenance huddles.

Participate in annual cycle counts.

Participate in performance evaluation with supervisor at year end.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent.

Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.

At least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

Blending Experience
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
-
Ability to bend, stoop, walk, stand, push and pull various items.

Ability to move around the warehouse.
Work Environment:
-
Work is primarily performed inside the warehouse.
-
Exposure to loud noise levels, vibration, chemicals, dust, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles.

May be exposed to cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions.
