Line Lead (1st shift)

Line Leads are responsible for directing and training the line operators under the guidance of the production supervisor.    

Pay rate: $20.00-$25.00/hour depending on experience

Shift: 1st shift (6:00AM - 4:30PM ) Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating machines per production work order requirements (all machines on assigned line)

• Completing production work order paperwork, including conducting quality checks before, during and after production runs

• Assisting other Line Operators with setting up machines during product changeovers

• Troubleshooting equipment as needed

• Making minor repairs on equipment as needed

• Training (OJT) other Line Operators on production equipment and production processes

• Keeping area clean and safe in accordance with company policies and area 6S program

• Rotating to other lines when assigned line is down or when needed

• Assisting with employee evaluations 

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years manufacturing experience, with packaging-related environments preferred

  • Ability to read, write, and speak Englishbility to read, write, and speak English

  • Strong Leadership skills

  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to train others

  • Math and problem-solving skills, computer literate, and strong mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to interpret gauges and monitors on production equipment

  • Knowledge of the basic structure and function of production equipment

  • Is familiar with and follows all factory safety procedures and guidelines

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Frequent lifting, bending, standing, twisting, climbing, and walking up and down stairs

  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for long period of time

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Stable work history

  • Ability to work mandatory overtime

  • Ability to work productively and safely

  • Ability to wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
