Are you interested in advancing your career as a leader and driving success in not only a company, but it’s associates as? If so, our rapidly growing logistics client is looking for a Department Supervisor to lead the team!

Primary Job functions, include but are not limited to:

  • Motivate staff to perform their best

  • Provide excellent training resources to staff.

  • Maintain adequate levels of staffing to run areas appropriately.

  • Measure operational performance and workforce management.

  • Maintain high expectations of performance for all staff.

  • Responsible for good communication and coordination between all departments.

  • Provide a safe work environment for all associates.

  • Manage departmental goals and metric

  • Develop/review/identify process improvements to support fulfillment center

  • Track required information for reports and invoicing

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Business or related field, five (3) years of experience in Warehouse/Logistics/Shipping, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity in a logistics/manufacturing environment required. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.

  • Extensive experience in warehouse/logistics supervisory roles with proven track record in leading teams

  • Strong organization skills

  • Experience with Quality Systems and Programs

  • Team management/leadership/development skills, including the success in building and mentoring high performance teams.

  • Maturity, self-confidence and strong communication skills

  • A multicultural approach to operating in a diverse business environment. Comfortable communicating and operating within a culturally diverse environment.

  • Be able to walk long distances and to be on his/her feet for long periods of time

  • Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends.

  • Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications.
