Quality Technician
Location: Indianapolis Westside
Environment: Manufacturing, clean, must follow GMP's
Shift: 7pm-7am
GENERAL PURPOSE: Inspect, audit and report on materials processes and products. Provide QC support on in-process products and final inspection.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Performs inspection from start to finish and provide verbal and written reports.
- Communicate in a professional manner
- Facilitates the development of procedures as needed
- Provides start and end approvals as needed
- Provides final inspections of products and review batch records to approve shipment of products
- Performs test and studies for management as required
- Facilitates root cause analysis of internal nonconformance
- Answer operator's questions about the Product Process Quality System
- Interacts with managers on all levels
- Provides training to company employees
- Maintains quality records
- Suggests quality system improvements
- Analyzes and trends internal nonconformance's and customer complaints, and internal audit results
- Attends customer meetings
- Travels to customer facilities to train their employees or to sort nonconforming products
- Perform other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Intermediate computer skills, spreadsheet, word processing, e-mail programs
- Effective communicator
- Write routine reports
- Basic math
- Must be willing to work Overtime
- Work around moving machines
- Work around fumes and airborne particles
- Manufacturing conditions
