Position Overview
The Regional Cement Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, market penetration, and customer relationship management across an assigned geographic region. This role requires deep knowledge of cement products, applications, pricing structures, logistics, and customer needs within construction, ready-mix, infrastructure, and industrial markets.
The ideal candidate is an experienced cement sales professional with strong technical understanding, strategic selling capability, and the ability to develop long-term partnerships with high-value clients.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required — preferred fields include Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
3–7+ years of proven sales experience in the cement industry (cement manufacturing, distribution, ready-mix, aggregates, or industrial building materials).
Demonstrated success managing a sales territory, developing accounts, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Working knowledge of cement manufacturing, cement types, specifications, quality testing, and material performance.
Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor products, and industry pricing strategies.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Market Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to increase regional cement sales volume, revenue, and market share.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify opportunities for growth.
Lead strategic account planning, prospecting, and business development efforts.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with ready-mix producers, contractors, DOT agencies, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
Conduct regular customer visits to understand project needs, resolve issues, and strengthen partnerships.
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries, order coordination, and commercial negotiations.
Pricing, Contracts & Forecasting
Develop pricing proposals based on market analysis, cost inputs, and company objectives.
Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and customer agreements.
Provide accurate sales forecasts, market insights, and trend data to management.
Technical Knowledge & Support
Partner with Quality, Operations, and Logistics teams to ensure consistent product performance and customer satisfaction.
Understand cement product specifications, ASTM requirements, performance characteristics, and application methods.
Communicate customer feedback to internal teams to support product development and continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with operations to align production schedules, inventory, and distribution with market demand.
Coordinate with marketing teams on promotional efforts, product launches, and industry events.
Support credit, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
