Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the Maintenance Technicians, setting clear expectations, providing daily direction, and ensuring accountability for quality and safety.
Model safe behavior and enforce all safety rules and procedures, including PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and OSHA compliance.
Plan and prioritize maintenance and repair schedules to meet operational goals with minimal production impact.
Develop, implement, and oversee Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
Train and mentor maintenance staff on proper equipment operation, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
Ensure readiness and reliability of MRF conveyor systems, motors, gearboxes, bearings, balers, and other related components.
Perform hands-on maintenance tasks when required, including installation, alignment, welding, and fabrication.
Inspect and evaluate completed work to ensure it meets company standards and safety regulations.
Coordinate with Department Management and Facilities to communicate maintenance status, needs, and progress updates.
Maintain organized workspaces and ensure proper storage of tools, parts, and supplies.
Monitor and document OJT and safety training records for all team members.
Review daily inspection sheets and assign work orders accordingly.
Ensure compliance with hazardous material handling and disposal standards.
Act as a key point of contact during OSHA inspections and safety audits related to maintenance operations.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department.

Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance or industrial environment.
Hands-on experience with conveyor systems (minimum 3 years).
Proficient in welding (Arc, Stick, Rod & MIG).
Skilled in metal fabrication and mechanical systems repair.
Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and maintenance best practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team while maintaining high performance standards.
