POSITION DESCRIPTION The Production Supervisor at our cement plant plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient and safe production of high-quality cement products. This position involves managing a team, monitoring production schedules, and maintaining a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate production staff, providing clear direction and fostering a collaborative team environment. 2. Production Oversight: Monitor and optimize production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, output targets, and safety protocols. 3. Scheduling and Planning: Manage production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime. 4. Quality Control: Follow and enforce quality control procedures to maintain product integrity and compliance with industry standards. 5. Safety Compliance: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment, conducting regular safety meetings and promoting a safety-first culture. 6. Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective maintenance of production equipment, minimizing disruptions to production. 7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency; implement best practices to enhance overall plant performance. 8. Communication: Foster effective communication within the team and with other departments, ensuring seamless coordination and resolution of production-related issues. 9. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 1. High School diploma or GED equivalent. 2. Experience in a supervisory role within a cement plant or similar heavy industry 3. Strong knowledge of cement production processes, equipment, and quality standards. 4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 5. Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 6. Familiarity with MSHA safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe workplace. 7. Knowledge of company environmental standards and requirements.
