Overview:

As a Production Foreman in the aggregates industry, you will be responsible for overseeing the production operations of aggregate materials, such as crushed stone, sand, and gravel. Your role will involve leading a team of production workers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing production processes to meet quality and output targets.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate daily production activities in the aggregates processing plant.

2. Lead and manage a team of production workers, including assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance.

3. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

4. Monitor production processes, including crushing, screening, and washing, to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

5. Collaborate with maintenance personnel to schedule and prioritize equipment maintenance and repairs.

6. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and address maintenance or safety issues promptly.

7. Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and quality control data.

8. Implement quality control procedures to meet product specifications and customer requirements.

9. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

10. Coordinate with logistics and shipping departments to ensure timely delivery of aggregate products to customers.

11. Communicate production goals, objectives, and performance metrics to the team and management.


Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in a related field is a plus.

2. Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role in the aggregates industry or a similar manufacturing environment.

3. Knowledge of aggregates processing equipment and production processes.

4. Familiarity with safety regulations and practices applicable to industrial environments, including MSHA regulations.

5. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a team.

6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

7. Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.

8. Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office and production management software.

9. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
