The Customer Technology PMO oversees a broad portfolio of technology initiatives that support our billing systems, self-service channels, and customer engagement platforms. We are seeking a versatile Hybrid Project Manager / Change Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of business-driven technology initiatives, combining the rigor of traditional project management with the empathy and structure of effective change management.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, works across agile and waterfall teams, and understands the importance of operational readiness, stakeholder alignment, and thoughtful governance in a regulated utility setting.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Develop and manage project charters, timelines, resource plans, and risk registers.
• Coordinate with internal technology teams, business owners, and third-party vendors to ensure project objectives are met.
• Report regularly on project status, issues, risks, and mitigation strategies to PMO leadership and stakeholders.

Change Management
• Assess the impact of technology changes on business stakeholders and customer-facing operations.
• Develop and execute change management plans that include stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and readiness assessments.
• Collaborate with customer care, operations, and training teams to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
• Identify potential resistance and work to develop mitigation strategies that promote adoption and reduce change fatigue.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Act as a liaison between the PMO and product owners, delivery teams, and stakeholders.
• Surface dependencies and coordinate with the PMO’s Strategy & Planning teams to ensure cohesive delivery and alignment with broader technology roadmaps.

What You Bring
• Proven experience managing complex business or technology projects, preferably in a utility, energy, or highly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated experience in change management, including stakeholder analysis, communications planning, and training coordination.
• Familiarity with agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery models and a flexible mindset to adapt engagement styles accordingly.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Comfort working in a matrixed environment and across teams with varying levels of PMO involvement.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal—capable of translating technical topics into business terms and vice versa.

Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of project management and/or change management experience
• Experience in regulated utilities or customer-facing technology projects
• PMP and/or Prosci certification (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of tools like qTest, Jira, SharePoint, and Teams
 • Understanding of capital project budgeting and financial governance practices
