| Manage and leverage strategic partnerships of the supply base to meet the company's procurement requirements in terms of quality, delivery and cost.***** This is a contract position supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) supporting our Uniontown, OH business development and engineering. This is an on-site position at our Collins Aerospace Uniontown, OH office. Assist new program sourcing strategies for water solutions and ice protection, while ensuring alignment with commodity strategies and low-cost sourcing plans for sustainable supply chain development. Responsible creating and implementing plans to ensure the new product sourcing strategy is in alignment with desired program outcomes. Essential Responsibilities: • Follows the Collins Aerospace best practice standard work for NPI processes. • Acts as liaison for engineering technology, material and component optimization, new product cost analysis, design readiness and manufacturing producibility. • Owns and is actively involved in sourcing strategy and vision with commodity management. • Manage procurement transactions. • Ensures development of hardware and FAI delivery timelines are met and that changes are made in a timely manner to support the project deliverables. • Supports supplier development activity. • Validates and refine cost reduction initiatives. • Coordinates with Procurement on negotiating pricing, contracts, and terms. • Performs other duties as assigned. |
