We are seeking a Service Writer to join our team at a farm equipment sales and rental company. This role is essential in providing service advice and guiding customers through the service process.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist with inquiries in person or by phone

• Perform equipment walk-arounds and document customer concerns for technician diagnostics

• Create, process, and bill customer repairs in the operating system

• Consult with customers on service specials and hourly fees

• Schedule service calls and inform service employees of appointments

• Generate reports for the Service Manager regarding work in progress

• Collect payments for completed repairs

• Work with and submit insurance claims for authorization or payment

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

• 1-2 years of previous service writer experience

• Ability to interpret written and oral instructions effectively

• Capable of lifting/moving up to 25 pounds

• Bilingual skills preferred
