Duties and responsibilities of the Quality Control Inspector…
Evaluate and disposition materials for use in manufacturing
Interface with assembly operations regarding part quality and workmanship issues
Review supplied documentation for accuracy and file appropriately
Inspect material using calibrated equipment, specifications and controlled comparison samples
Work with engineering to obtain necessary inspection documentation when needed
Create and maintain accurate incoming inspection records and transactions in ERP
Segregate nonconforming materials and performs required inventory control systems
Work with team to accurately document nonconforming material details and execution of Material Review Board dispositions
Skills of a Quality Control Inspector…
Two years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to develop and maintain organized inspection methods and record keeping
Ability to distinguish colors and properly use inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, pin gauges and optical inspection equipment
Ability to read and understand drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
